Transfer news: Napoli sign Kalidou Koulibaly from Genk

Napoli have completed the signing of French defender Kalidou Koulibaly, the Serie A club have announced.

The 23-year-old has signed a five-year deal with Rafael Benitez's side and joins from Belgian club Genk, where he has spent the past two seasons.

"I'm thrilled to be playing with Napoli, a club that has a big important project," the centre-half told sscnapoli.it.

"I'm ready for this adventure, I am looking forward to starting work with my new team-mates and to be able to experience the thrill of the Stadio San Paolo."

Koulibaly began his professional career at Metz in 2010 before moving to the Pro League where he played 64 league games, scoring three goals.

Meanwhile, Napoli have also announced that goalkeeper Roberto Colombo and full-back Giandomenico Mesto have agreed new contracts with the club.
