It appears Cristiano Ronaldo does not enjoy having his pre-match walks disturbed.

Ahead of Portugal's crunch Euro 2016 clash with Hungary, Ronaldo was out for a stroll with his team-mates when he was asked by a reporter from Portuguese news channel CMTV if he was prepared for the game.

His response? Grab the microphone and throw it into the lake.

Ronaldo has previously refused to answer a question from a CMTV reporter at a press conference.

It had been a frustrating tournament for Ronaldo, who failed to score from 20 shots before the Hungary game, but he scored twice on Wednesday to help book Portugal's place in the last 16.

He criticised Iceland for having a "small-time mentality" after a 1-1 draw and then missed a penalty in the goalless stalemate with Austria.

Portugal head coach Fernando Santos revealed the penalty miss had been playing on Ronaldo's mind.

"Cristiano hasn't been able to sleep," he said. "On Sunday, I was one of the first up and he was already awake. He's a winner and his experience will help him bounce back.

"If there is a penalty in the next game, Cristiano Ronaldo will take it and he will score."
