Petr Cech equalled the Premier League record for clean sheets with his shutout against Aston Villa.

Arsenal's 2-0 win at Villa Park was the 169th time Cech has kept the opposition at bay in England's top flight, equalling David James' record.

The Czech Republic international kept 162 clean sheets during his 11 years with Chelsea, where he helped the Blues to four Premier League titles.

Cech joined Arsenal in a £10m deal last summer and has impressed for the Gunners, going unbeaten in seven top flight fixtures to help the club to the Premier League summit.
