Jamie Redknapp has argued that keeping Crystal Palace in the Premier League was the easiest job Sam Allardyce has ever had.
The Eagles secured Premier League football at Selhurst Park for the fifth successive season, while relegating Hull in the process, with an emphatic 4-0 win on Nissan Super Sunday.
The result maintained Allardyce's record of never being relegated from the top-flight, and brought a successful end to a testing campaign which began with his ill-fated tenure as England manager.
Redknapp stopped short of heaping tonnes of praise for Allardyce though, citing Palace's talent-filled squad as reason why for Eagles should do better next season.
"Sam Allardyce has done a good job but I would say it's probably his easiest job he's ever had," Redknapp told Sky Sports.
"When you look at the quality of players Palace have compared to Hull's there's a vast difference.
"Christian Benteke, Yohan Cabaye, Wilfried Zaha and Andros Townsend are really good quality so they shouldn't really be in this position.
"That's got to be their aim next year, not to be fighting relegation with two or three games to go, they've got too many good players for that.
"Sam has done a good job - just it's probably the easiest job he's ever had."
