Former Premier League footballer Delroy Facey has appeared in court to deny a charge of conspiracy to commit bribery.
The 34-year-old, who played in England's top division with Bolton and had spells with 13 other clubs, spoke only to enter his plea at a short hearing at Birmingham Crown Court.
He was bailed to appear for trial at the same court on April 13 next year.
Officers from the National Crime Agency charged Facey in September as part of what they described as an ongoing match-fixing investigation.
