Robert Snodgrass: Scotland needs four World Cup points

Robert Snodgrass believes Scotland should target at least four points from their next two World Cup qualifying games if they as they are to have a realistic hope of laying their 20-year World Cup absence to rest.
The Hull City midfielder claimed a hat-trick in the opening Group F qualifier against Malta and is preparing for games against Lithuania and Slovakia in the next seven days.
With England also in the qualifying section, Snodgrass says there is no room for slip-ups if Scotland are to reach the finals for the first time since 1998.
"Four points is the target, yes," Snodgrass said. "I think focusing on the two games, we need to get off to a good start on Saturday. It'll be something different for us with a Saturday night game with a full crowd so we're looking forward to it.
"I think it'll be much like the Malta game and you need to be ruthless especially at home. We need to be patient in the game and be ruthless."
The midfielder was out for 15 months before last month's match in Valetta and he is looking forward to renewing acquaintance with the Tartan Army at Hampden Park on Saturday.
"It's special," he said. "To be honest, it's a great feeling, getting the chance to play for your country first and foremost but to be involved when you're doing well is great.
"It's a chance for me to show the home fans that I'm back."
