Euro 2016 will feature some of the world’s most feared forwards, all of them with one eye on the Golden Boot.
Previous winners include Michel Platini, Marco van Basten and David Villa but who will add their name to the list in France this summer?
We take a look at the eight favourites for the award with Sky Bet…
Muller plays from the right for Germany so it's a testament to his reputation as a tournament player that the 26-year-old still ranks as joint favourite for the Golden Boot. The Bayern Munich man has netted five goals at each of the last two World Cups, was the third highest scorer in qualifying for Euro 2016 and with Germany expected to go deep in the tournament this summer, he is likely to be on the scoresheet yet again.
Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal) - 8/1
Portugal's star player will be nursed through to the finals in the hope of getting him back to full fitness and if that happens then goals are all but guaranteed. Ronaldo has scored 17 times for Real Madrid since March and won't be shot-shy in a Portugal team that's constructed around him. Aiming to score in a fourth European Championships and in a group that includes Iceland, Austria and Hungary it's possible that someone will find themselves on the receiving end of a Ronaldo goal glut.
Antoine Griezmann (France) - 9/1
Perhaps it's surprising that a player with seven international goals to his name - all of them in friendlies - should be among the favourites to top score at Euro 2016 but it's a reflection of the impact Griezmann has had for Atletico Madrid this season. With 32 goals, he's emerged as a feared forward and while he's likely to play as a support-striker for France, there will be opportunities in a favourable group that also includes Romania, Albania and Switzerland.
Kane only made his England debut last year with his two goals in qualifying coming from the bench but he seems certain to start for Roy Hodgson's side. The Tottenham forward has proven himself to be a reliable goalscorer over the past two seasons and there's little reason to think he cannot take that form to France. Full of energy, willing to shoot from anywhere and able to score with his head or his feet, Kane could repeat the feat of Alan Shearer in 1996 and top score at a European Championship.
Robert Lewandowski (Poland) - 14/1
Lewandowski will be one of the most feared strikers at Euro 2016. The 27-year-old netted 42 times in 47 appearances for Bayern Munich in 2015/16, and he scored at an even higher rate in Poland's qualifying campaign. His record-equalling total of 13 goals helped Poland qualify one point behind Germany, and Joachim Low's side will not relish facing him again after they were drawn in the same group at the Euros.
Romelu Lukaku (Belgium) - 16/1
Belgium's Lukaku faces fierce competition from Christian Benteke, Divock Origi and Michy Batshuayi for a starting spot at Euro 2016, but he is still among the favourites for the Golden Shoe. The 23-year-old enjoyed his most prolific Premier League campaign to date with 18 goals for Everton in 2015/16, and while he didn't score once during Belgium's qualifying campaign, he did find the net in their recent warm-up friendlies against Italy and Switzerland.
Olivier Giroud (France) - 16/1
Giroud had a mixed season with Arsenal in 2015/16. A rich vein of form between October and January was followed by a four-month scoring drought in the Premier League, but a hat-trick against Aston Villa on the final day ensured he ended the campaign as their top scorer with 24 goals in all competitions. The divisive 29-year-old was booed by some France fans despite scoring in their recent 3-2 win over Cameroon, but he is likely to start as the hosts' first-choice striker when the tournament gets underway.
Spain striker Morata is already the subject of intense transfer speculation and he will hope his performances attract more attention at Euro 2016. The Real Madrid youth product scored 12 goals in 47 appearances for Juventus despite featuring regularly from the substitutes' bench, and he will hope for a starting role in France. Vicente del Bosque overlooked Diego Costa, Fernando Torres and Paco Alcacer in his squad for the tournament. Morata must make the most of his chance.
