Manchester City Women’s forward Isobel Christiansen could be out of action till the end of May due to ankle injury, her club have announced.
Christiansen was omitted from England's squad for the Euro qualifiers against Belgium and Bosnia-Herzegovina due to injury but the Football Association did not provide details of how long the 24-year-old would be unavailable for.
But City have now confirmed Christiansen collected the injury in the win at Liverpool on March 19 and will require two months of rehabilitation from that date.
Christiansen was City's Player of the Season for 2015 and signed a new contract with the club earlier this month.
