Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho has topped the Power Rankings

Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho has topped the first Sky Sports Power Rankings of the 2016/17 Premier League season.

The Brazilian scored twice in the Reds' 4-3 win against Arsenal at the Emirates on Super Sunday, with team-mates Sadio Mane (No 6) and Adam Lallana (No 8) also among the goals.

Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic stormed to No 2 after scoring on his league debut as Jose Mourinho recorded his first league victory as United boss with a 3-1 win over Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

Diego Costa entered the chart at No 3 after scoring Chelsea's late winner during the Blues' 2-1 win over West Ham on Monday Night Football.

Newly promoted Hull City defeated champions Leicester 2-1 in the opening game of the season at the KCOM Stadium, with Robert Snodgrass (No 4) breaking the deadlock for the Tigers. Adama Diomande's (No 5) overhead kick ensured victory after last season's Power Rankings winner Riyad Mahrez had equalised from the penalty spot. 

Everton midfielder Ross Barkley (No 8) opened the scoring against Tottenham, but new Toffees boss Ronald Koeman was denied victory after Erik Lamela (No 27) equalised for Spurs, assisted by Kyle Walker (No 26).

New Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola got off to a winning start with a 2-1 victory over Sunderland, but only penalty scorer Sergio Aguero (No 24) and defender Aleksandar Kolarov (No 34) made the top 50.
