Oldham came from behind to beat Leicester U21s 4-2 and progress to the quarter-finals of the Checkatrade Trophy.
Josh Knight gave Leicester a 43-minute lead at Boundary Park, but Craig Davies struck twice in six second-half minutes to put the League One side into a 2-1 lead in the tie.
Ahmed Musa then levelled the game again for the Foxes, but goals from Anthony Gerrard and Tope Obadeyi were enough for the Latics to make it through.
Richie Wellens' side, who are now just two games from Wembley, will travel to fellow League One side Shrewsbury in the last eight of the competition.
