Highlights of the Sky Bet League One match between Oxford and Millwall.

Steve Morison's stunning 25-yard volley for Millwall's equalising goal in their 2-1 win at Oxford was lauded by both camps at the Kassam Stadium.

Liam Sercombe put Oxford in front after 31 minutes, tapping in Marvin Johnson's cross, but Morison's sixth Sky Bet League One goal of the season, which came out of nothing, brought Neil Harris' team level.

And with the confidence gained by that stunning equaliser, Millwall struck again just five minutes into the second half, with Aiden O'Brien netting from 14 yards after good work by Mahlon Romeo.

David Livermore, Millwall's assistant manager, said: "It was a worldie, really, but he's got a knack of doing that. We've seen it in training and we've seen it on occasions in games.

"It's a cliche, but goals change games. It's a great goal at a crucial time. And after that goal we were able to go in at half-time and tell them how well they'd been playing.

"But I thought we fully deserved the result in the end."

Oxford missed one great opportunity to make it 2-2 in stoppage time when centre-half Curtis Nelson planted his header from eight yards straight into the grateful arms of goalkeeper Jordan Archer.

Livermore, who was speaking to the media because Harris was ill, added: "The gaffer's not feeling too well, but he's told the lads in the dressing room he's delighted with the performance.

"To come from behind like that shows good character. We had to be very organised and concentrated in defence, and I thought we limited Oxford to very few chances.

"Obviously they had one right at the death that was a wonderful opportunity, but maybe that shows our luck is changing."

Oxford head coach Michael Appleton admitted feeling "disappointed" at the fact that his team failed for the second match running to capitalise on taking the lead.

"It is disappointing, but it's only happened a couple of times to be fair," he said.

"Their first goal was a bit of a worldie, and the second one was a silly mistake which has cost us.

"You don't get that many clear-cut chances in a game like that, and I think had Curtis Nelson's header at the end gone anywhere other than at the keeper we'd have been celebrating.

"But we had only ourselves to blame for being in that position in the first place.

"We allowed the opposition back in, albeit a wonder goal for the equaliser, but the second goal was silly play from us and a lack of concentration.

"And although we had a lot of the play in the second half, we probably took one touch too many in the final third on too many occasions."
