Lee Gregory scored a hat-trick as League One Millwall advanced to the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Southern Area semi-finals with a 5-3 win at League Two leaders Plymouth Argyle.
The striker gave the Lions a 21st-minute lead with a glancing header to send Shaun Williams' pacy left-wing cross into the far top corner, but Pilgrims target man Jake Jervis levelled by smashing home on the turn from 10 yards 13 minutes later.
Millwall's second goal took a deflection as it was headed in by towering central defender Mark Beevers from a 43rd-minute corner.
Gregory went solo to make it 3-1 in the 49th minute, following up his own shot - initially saved by Luke McCormick - to slide the ball home.
Playmaker Graham Carey gave Argyle brief hope with his 35-yard pile-driver in the 56th minute.
But Gregory then won and converted a penalty to complete his treble before delivering an inch-perfect pass for Aiden O'Brien to make it 5-2 from close range.
Jervis pulled another goal back five minutes from time with a 25-yard grass-cutter.
