Jon Taylor scored the only goal of the game as Rotherham ended their long away-day drought with a 1-0 win at Portsmouth.
Rotherham hadn't won any of their last 27 away league games, but Taylor nipped in to strike after 36 minutes at Fratton Park to end the barren run.
It was also just a second win of the Sky Bet League One season for Paul Warne's side, lifting them to 12th in the table. Portsmouth, meanwhile, stay 16th.
The opening goal was the only moment of real class in a first half lacking any genuine quality, as Ryan Williams picked up the ball and threaded it through to Taylor in the box, who took it on before smashing it past Luke McGee from a tight angle.
Portsmouth improved in the second half and Jamal Lowe had a great opportunity after 49 minutes after Rotherham goalkeeper Richard O'Donnell spilled a cross into his path, but he could only drive his effort wide.
And that was as close as Kenny Jackett's men would come, as Rotherham held on for a long-awaited win on the road.
Portsmouth travel to AFC Wimbledon in Sky Bet League One next Saturday, while Rotherham host Bury.
