Rangers v Partick: Team news for Saturday's Glasgow derby
Friday 4 November 2016 19:31, UK
Rangers midfielder Josh Windass has returned to training at Murray Park ahead of Saturday's Premiership clash with Glasgow rivals Partick Thistle.
The 22-year-old former Accrington Stanley favourite has missed two games with a hamstring problem but could be included in the squad to face the Jags.
Fellow midfielder Jordan Rossiter (calf) is still a week to 10 days away from shaking off his latest injury though.
Joey Barton will again be missing from the Rangers squad following his recent suspension by the Ibrox club.
And his manager Mark Warburton will watch the match from the stand as he serves a one-match touchline ban for verbally abusing a match official following the 2-1 defeat at Aberdeen last weekend.
Bottom of the table Thistle could move within a point of their hosts should they secure their first away league victory of the season at Ibrox.
Jags manager Alan Archibald will assess the fitness of several players, although Tomas Cerny (foot), Stuart Bannigan (knee), Gary Fraser (knee) and Mustapha Dumbuya (Achilles) are already ruled out
Callum Booth returned to training on Thursday after missing the draw with Motherwell through food poisoning.
And Partick are hopeful that midfielders Chris Erskine (calf) and Steven Lawless (stomach) overcome injuries.
Skipper Abdul Osman returns from suspension and should start against Rangers.
