Rochdale have added to their ranks ahead of the Sky Bet League One clash at home to MK Dons with the signing of Steven Davies.

Striker Davies, who left Bradford in May, signed a one-year contract with Dale on Wednesday.

It remains to be seen whether he, or any of a foursome of players who have been sidelined of late, feature in this weekend's contest.

Ruben Noble-Lazarus and Peter Vincenti have been nursing ankle problems, Joe Rafferty has had a groin issue and Oliver Rathbone has had an unspecified injury.

The Dons have problems of their own, with two key players ruled out.

A hip problem forced Darren Potter off against Bradford in midweek and the midfielder will miss the trip to Spotland along with another unnamed player.

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson refused to identify the individual at his pre-match press call but did say the person in question could miss as many as five matches.

On a positive note for the Dons, Ben Reeves has resumed training after recovering from a calf complaint and he could be included in the squad.
