Rochdale v Tranmere preview

Team news for Saturday's League One clash between Rochdale and Tranmere at Spotland.

Rochdale boss Keith Hill will have on-loan goalkeeper Josh Lillis available for the home clash with Tranmere. Lillis returned to Spotland from Scunthorpe to resume his loan spell after recovering from a hamstring injury. As a result, fellow loanee Luke Daniels - who stood in for Lillis - has returned to West Brom and winger Joe Thompson is also fit after a hamstring strain as Hill's men bid to end 2010 on a high. Hill guided the club to their first promotion since 1969 in May and is determined to keep on pushing forward. He said: "I think we should be given a little bit more respect from outside for what we've done for this club. We want to continue that development." Tranmere boss Les Parry has virtually a full-strength squad available for the trip to Rochdale. Rovers are set to end an 18-day wait for a match at Spotland after games against Swindon, Sheffield Wednesday and Brentford were all postponed. The period has allowed Marlon Broomes, Enoch Showunmi and Ian Thomas-Moore to shake off knocks that affected them earlier in December while Joss Labadie should finally return from suspension. Parry said: "Injury wise, players are fitter. Unfortunately the type of training we have been doing is tick-over work. People have not been able to get any significant long work under their belts. "You can do all the training you want but the way to get fit to play football is to play football. Rochdale are in the same boat as us."
