Scunthorpe v AFC Wimbledon preview

AFC Wimbledon are expected to hand debuts to George Long, Cody MacDonald, Jimmy Abdou and Liam Trotter.

Callum Kennedy, Kwesi Appiah and Deji Oshilaja could also feature after returning to the club.

Tom Soares is in contention having returned to full training although doubts remain owing to a thigh injury.

Lyle Taylor is also expected to feature despite a previous calf problem, but knee injuries have ruled out Darius Charles and Jonathan Meades.

Scunthorpe will be without Lewis Butroid and Luke Williams, but otherwise boss Graham Alexander has a fully-fit squad.

Defender Butroid has not trained this week due to a knock, while midfielder Williams has not featured in any pre-season games as he works his way back from knee and hamstring injuries.

Summer signings Funso Ojo, Rory McArdle, Matt Gilks, Cameron Burgess and Devonte Redmond are all in contention for their debuts.
