Scunthorpe manager Mark Robins is likely to shake things up for his side's Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash against Barnsley after the Iron threw away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at Colchester.
Dutch striker Kevin van Veen got his first league goal in that game and could keep his place, as could loanee Murray Wallace after he made his debut on Saturday.
Robins said at the weekend: "We will look to the game on Tuesday night in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy to freshen things up and give some players an opportunity, but also to try and progress in that competition."
Scunthorpe will be looking for revenge against the Reds having been beaten 7-6 on penalties in the Capital One Cup first round earlier in August.
Barnsley coach Lee Johnson may opt to make more changes for the clash after a 3-0 defeat to Rochdale.
Johnson admitted his players lacked "energy" against Dale having taken Everton to extra-time last Tuesday and that may prompt the Reds boss to rest some of his key players.
Young defender James Bree is hoping to be fit for the game after nursing an ankle injury.
Ryan Williams is expected to be out once again due to a troublesome groin problem.
