Tottenham will look to get back to winning ways in the Premier League when they host Stoke City at White Hart Lane, live on Nissan Super Sunday.

Spurs have only won one of their last four matches in all competitions, including losing 2-0 at Liverpool in the Premier League and a defeat and a draw against Genk, which knocked them out of the Europa League.

However, Mauricio Pochettino's side remain the only unbeaten team at home this season in the Premier League and will equal their club record of eight successive wins if they see off Stoke, who have not won in 12 top-flight games against top-half sides this season (D5, L7).

Added to that, Mark Hughes' men have won only one of their last 20 Premier League visits to London (D7, L12), which was against Spurs in 2014 - a 2-1 win.

    Team news

Tottenham will be without Danny Rose and Erik Lamela again for the match. The defender is out with a knee injury - meaning Ben Davies is expected to continue at left-back - while the winger is still recovering from a hip problem.

Pochettino must decide whether to rotate after Spurs played 51 minutes with 10 men against Gent in the Europa League on Thursday.

Xherdan Shaqiri is set to make his return to Stoke's matchday squad after missing the last three games with a calf problem.

Phil Bardsley - who limped off in the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace last time out - and Wilfried Bony, ruled out of that contest because of illness, are both expected to be available. Saido Berahino could be included in the starting line-up for the first time since joining from West Brom in January.

Jonathan Walters and Geoff Cameron (both knee) are close to their comebacks but it looks as if this game is too soon.

    Match stats

Spurs have won their last two Premier League meetings with Stoke by a 4-0 scoreline. However, both of these games have been at the Bet365 Stadium.

Should they win again by at least four goals, it will be the fourth occasion a team has registered a 4+ goal margin in three consecutive PL games against the same opponent.

Stoke are unbeaten in their last two league games at White Hart Lane (W1 D1 L0) - they've never gone three in a row without defeat there in their history.

Portuguese referee Jorge Sousa (R) shows a straight red card to send off Tottenham Hotspur's English midfielder Dele Alli (L) during the UEFA Europa League

There hasn't been a red card in any of the last three Premier League meetings between these sides - the longest run without one in this fixture since Stoke were promoted in 2008.

Of any Premier League fixture to have been played 15+ times - this has produced the highest average of red cards per game (8 in total - 0.47 per game).

Both Dele Alli and Harry Kane have scored three goals in their last two league games against Stoke.

Kane has scored 10 goals in his last nine appearances for Tottenham in domestic competition (League & FA Cup).

    Liverpool 2 - 0 Tottenham

Stoke have won only one of their last 20 Premier League games in London (D7 L12), with that solitary win arriving at White Hart Lane in November 2014 (2-1).

Spurs have kept the most clean sheets at home in the Premier League this season (8).

Alli has sprinted more often than any other Premier League player so far in 2017 (550).

Joe Allen has netted six Premier League goals this season, his best haul in a top-flight campaign (next highest is four in 2011/12).

    Merson's prediction

I think Tottenham have a looked a little bit tired. They had a great result at Fulham last weekend, which was a banana skin. Stoke are a good team, but I'm backing Tottenham in this one. They are having a little bit of a wobble, but I think they can get a result on Sunday. Stoke are decent, though, and will push them during the game.
