Jamie Redknapp joins Ed Chamberlin to preview the Super Sunday clash between Tottenham and West Ham United

Tottenham will be looking to maintain an 11-game undefeated streak in the Premier League when London rivals West Ham visit White Hart Lane on Super Sunday.

Mauricio Pochettino's side last tasted defeat on the opening day of the season - a 1-0 loss at Manchester United - and have since embarked on a steady assault on the top four.

Live Ford Super Sunday

Spurs will be hoping England international Dele Alli, who marked his full international debut with a stunning strike against France on Tuesday, will propel the club to victory against a West Ham side that boasts the league's second-best away record.

The Hammers, who have lost just one of their previous four league visits to Tottenham, have made their best start to a Premier League season, claiming wins on the road at Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool.

However, their chances of claiming another prized scalp have been dealt a blow, with long-term absentee Dimitri Payet joined on the sidelines by Enner Valencia, who suffered a setback on his return from injury against Everton before the international break.

Team news

Erik Lamela is suspended for Tottenham, while Nabil Bentaleb picked up an ankle injury on international duty with Algeria and is out. Nacer Chadli (ankle) remains sidelined.

Song, on loan from Barcelona for a second campaign, has faced a number of setbacks following surgery on his ankle, but the midfielder could be in line to feature.

Diafra Sakho, who has not played for the club in their last two matches with a thigh problem, is also back in the squad.

Opta stats

This is Tottenham's third best start to a Premier League season in terms of points (2011-12 (28) and 2009-10 (22)). Spurs finished fourth in each of those seasons.

The injured Payet has been involved in 35 per cent of West Ham's Premier League goals this season; more than any other player at the club.

West Ham have won four of their six Premier League away matches this season; they had won just four of the previous 25. But Spurs have lost just two of their last 19 Premier League home matches (W11 D6 L2).

There have been three red cards in the last three Premier League meetings between Spurs and the Hammers. This season, West Ham have earned the most reds (four) and Spurs the most yellow cards (27).

Andy Carroll has scored in two of his three Premier League appearances for West Ham against Tottenham.

Merson's prediction

I've been massively impressed by Tottenham. And also with West Ham, but I don't know if teams are getting used to playing Slaven Bilic's side more, or if they're getting a little bit tired after getting back early in pre-season into competitive action.

They lost at Watford and drew at home to Everton. They can't just turn up and expect to beat teams, nobody can do that this season. It is so unpredictable. And without Payet we will see how Bilic adapts, he has been a huge player for them this season.

Tottenham have been outstanding of late, and were brilliant at the Emirates the other week, and I can see them stealing this one.
