Tottenham 4-3 Wycombe: Heung-Min Son scores dramatic winner to send Spurs through

Heung-Min Son's dramatic winner secured a stunning 4-3 victory for Spurs against League Two Wycombe on Saturday, sending the Premier League side through to the FA Cup fifth round.

The South Korea forward struck deep into added time to break the hearts of Wycombe, who twice led at White Hart Lane.

Goals from Son and a Vincent Janssen penalty cancelled out Paul Hayes' first-half double, but Garry Thompson put the visitors ahead again with six minutes to play.

They looked set to hold on for a famous win but were denied even a replay as Dele Alli equalised in the 89th minute and then, in the final throes of added time, Son grabbed his second of the match to send Spurs into Monday's fifth-round draw.

Harry Kane, who could be fit to face Sunderland on Tuesday, missed out with a minor groin problem as Mauricio Pochettino made nine changes from the 2-2 draw against Manchester City, while Wycombe, 70 places below their opponents in the football pyramid, made just one alteration from their last league encounter, at home to Luton.

And Gareth Ainsworth's decision to stick rather than twist paid dividends as the League Two side thoroughly deserved their two-goal half-time lead.

They almost went in front inside 60 seconds when Adebayo Akinfenwa, a constant menace to Tottenham's defence, picked out Hayes, who hit the bar from point-blank range.

He made no mistake with a much more difficult chance after 23 minutes, volleying home superbly after Josh Onomah failed to clear a corner.

It was just reward for Wycombe, who created several chances before going ahead, with Sam Wood's direct running often too much for Kevin Wimmer and Cameron Carter-Vickers.

Wood then forced the penalty for the visitors nine minutes before the break, tumbling under the challenge of Carter-Vickers.

Referee Roger East pointed to the spot and Hayes, who has now scored at Stamford Bridge, the Etihad and White Hart Lane, dispatched past Michel Vorm to double Wycombe's lead, setting the stage for one of the great FA Cup ties.

Spurs managed just two shots on target in a lethargic first-half display, but did go close through Son and Moussa Sissoko, the latter seeing his shot blocked on the line.

Tottenham introduced Janssen at the break and two goals in four minutes helped bring them back into the game.

Son's deflected strike from a narrow angle reduced the deficit and Janssen won and converted a penalty shortly after catching an arm across the face from Aaron Pierre.

Pochettino rolled the dice and brought on Dele Alli and Moussa Dembele, but having made all three changes, Spurs went down to 10 men when Kieran Trippier was forced off injured with more than 15 minutes remaining.

It swung the pendulum back in Wycombe's favour, and while the Spurs boss reshuffled his pack, opting for an adventurous 3-4-2 system, the visitors took full advantage down an unguarded right flank.

Substitute Myles Weston floated a cross for Thompson, who rose highest to thump a header past Vorm.

It sparked wild celebrations among the travelling Wycombe support, with Ainsworth's bench spilling out of his technical area.

But the joy was shortlived as poor positioning by Blackman allowed Alli to side-foot home and the Chairboys 'keeper was cruelly beaten for a fourth time in the final seconds of added time.

Son broke clear once again, and in a similar fashion to his opening goal, finished at the near post to cap a remarkable turnaround.
