West Ham vs Arsenal
8:00pm Wednesday 13th December
WATCH: WEST HAM 0-0 ARSENAL
WEST HAM 0-0 ARSENAL
FT: So very nearly a late winner from Hernandez, but the bar denies West Ham a second-straight victory in the Premier League. Arsenal rarely found top gear at the London Stadium, and they could well see that as a missed opportunity with Liverpool drawing too.
90+3: Ozil hits the wall and there's the full-time whistle!
90+2: Into added time of added time, and Welbeck earns a free-kick for Arsenal 25 yards out. Last chance coming up...
90: OFF THE BAR! But not over the line! It's calamitous defending from Arsenal and Hernandez is played through on goal, but his effort strikes the bar and bounces on the goal-line. The referee's watch says it's no goal, and Arsenal live to fight another day...
TWO minutes added on.
89: Cech is there to punch the corner away.... Not long left! Squeaky-bum time.
88: Arnautovic tries to jink his way into the Arsenal box, and he wins the hosts a corner...
86: It just hasn't been Arsenal's night in the final third. Ozil puts too much on a pass for Maitland-Niles and it rolls out for a goal-kick. Still time to change their fortunes though.
84: Quick glance at a live table shows us that Arsenal would remain in seventh, a point behind Tottenham, Liverpool and Burnley... while for West Ham a point would leave them level with Palace and West Brom, but still in 19th. Every. Point. Counts.
82: The double sub this game needs... Hernandez on for West Ham, Lacazette on for Arsenal. Antonio and Sanchez make way... Not the best of evenings for the Chilean.
81: Again it's Ogbonna who mops up for West Ham. He stands his ground against Welbeck and just muscles him off the ball. West Ham look to counter, but Bellerin heads away Antonio's cross.
79: On the other hand, you have to praise West Ham for a resolute display, so far... Ogbonna again with a block to deny Bellerin. The West Ham defender has been immense.
77: It's turning into another frustrating game for Arsenal away from home. The Gunners remain on top, but still, still, cannot find that opener.
74: SAVE! Wilshere is fouled by Noble and Arsenal have a free-kick just under 30 yards out. It's Ozil to take, but Adrian gets over to beat the curled effort away. Arsenal then win a corner but can't make anything from it.
71: First change of the evening and it's Welbeck on for Iwobi.
70: OVER! Giroud nods it down for Wilshere, who takes a touch before volleying over while under pressure from Ogbonna.
69: Lacazette warming up. Welbeck warming up. Looks like Wenger will look to make a change soon. With Liverpool still drawing 0-0 at home to West Brom, this would be a great opportunity for West Ham to capitalise in what already looks like the race for Champions League football.
67: Zabaleta's cross is deflected and Cech flaps at a cross, leading Arnautovic to see his effort cleared off the line. However, Arnautovic is penalised for pushing Koscielny into his own goalkeeper, so it wouldn't have counted even if it had gone in!
65: It's frantic out there, but lacking in quality at the minute. You can just sense that West Ham crowd know the three points is there for the taking at the moment.
HOW'S YOUR TOUCH?
Plenty of Arsenal pressure and the Gunners are 10/11 at Sky Bet to turn it into three points. Alexis Sanchez to score the opening goal has been PRICE BOOSTED to 11/2 from 9/2 - get all the in-play odds here.
61: Antonio this time out wide and it's his cross which is kind of met by Arnautovic. I say kind of, because he looks to glance it into the far corner but it ends up hitting his shoulder and going closer to the corner flag than the goal.
58: It's all Arsenal. But it's still 0-0 as we edge towards the hour-mark. Heading for a last-minute winner?
56: West Ham fans just getting anxious as Arsenal crank up the gears....
WIDE! Good chance for Ozil! It's nice football again, and though he's fortuitous to receive the ball from a ricochet, he can only stab it wide!
54: Ogbonna doesn't know much about it but he manages to head the ball away for another corner when tracking the run of Giroud. The second ball in comes to nothing and West Ham clear their lines.
53: WIDE! Great ball in from Maitland-Niles and Giroud sees his header deflect wide for a corner...
51: SAVE! Similar to the start of the first half, with Arsenal camped in the West Ham half, but while they're reduced to pot shots from distance, Moyes will be happy. This time it's Xhaka who tests Adrian from distance, but it's straight at the West Ham 'keeper.
49: WIDE! Decent start to the half, with the rain starting to teem down in east London. Bellerin shoots from 25 yards out but it trickles wide of the mark.
47: CHANCE! It's a delightful bit of skill from Noble as he uses the pace of the ball to chest it over Monreal and set up Arnautovic, though he snatches at the effort, which flies over.
Down the other end, Ogbonna rushes back to intercept Giroud just as the Frenchman looked to strike.
SECOND HALF! The hosts get the ball rolling at the London Stadium, can either side break the deadlock this half?
Still all square with the Gunners easing slightly to 4/5 for victory with Sky Bet. West Ham can be backed at 4/1 with a draw on offer at 15/8 - Wilshere to score at some stage has been PRICE BOOSTED to 11/1 from 15/2. Get all the in-play odds here.
HT: And there goes the half-time whistle. Very little between the sides. Arnautovic thought he had headed the hosts in front, though the offside flag rightly went up, while Iwobi hit the post for the Gunners. Too close to call this one, West Ham for certainly made it difficult for their London rivals.
45: Shot to nothing from Xhaka, who is all of 35 yards out. It has some serious dip on it but it's not going to trouble Adrian.
Just the ONE minute added on.
43: West Ham's decent spell appears to be over. Arsenal on the attack now and nice play from Bellerin earns the visitors a corner. It eventually falls to Wilshere 20 yards out, but his strike hits Reid at some pace.
41: First booking of the evening, and it's for Lanzini, who cynically brings down Wilshere as the visitors looked to break.
39: NO PENALTY! Lanzini chases what seemingly looks like a lost cause with Xhaka looking to shield the ball out. It looks clumsy from Xhaka but they've both got their arms all over each other. More of a 50/50.
Down the other end, Giroud's attempted overhead kick has Cresswell down on the ground, needing treatment... It's actually the ball which hits Cresswell, rather than Giroud's boot, and he'll be just fine!
37: Noble goes down under a challenge from Maitland-Niles, No foul. Noble gets back up before going down under a challenge from Maitland-Niles. Foul. Now a chance for West Ham to cross one in...but Cech just about palms away Cresswell's ball in.
34: Arnautovic playing with supreme confidence at the moment. It's funny what a goal can do for the mind. He looks to have been crowded out on the side of the area but he brilliantly jinks between Maitland-Niles and Monreal before chopping the ball past Wilshere, however, the pass for Lanzini doesn't quite live up to his new-found high standards.
The visitors are are odds-on at 8/11 with Sky Bet to collect all three points. The hosts are on offer at 7/2 with a draw 9/4 while Olivier Giroud has been PRICE BOOSTED to 9/2 from 7/2 to score the opener. Get all the in-play odds here.
29: OFF THE POST! Lanzini gives the ball away and Arsenal look to pounce. Sanchez finds Iwobi, who takes a touch before firing low from a narrow angle but his effort cannons off the near post and away to safety.
27: Another half-chance for West Ham, but Arnautovic's shot deflects high into the air and Cech just about claims it without conceding a corner.
23: JUST OVER! Wilshere at the heart of this attack once more, playing a one-two with Giroud before finding Sanchez, whose deflected effort flies inches over the bar.
From the corner, the ball falls to Maitland-Niles on the edge of the box, but he volleys harmlessly wide.
21: Maitland-Niles shoulders Antonio off the ball and Wilshere looks to bring the ball forward. Iwobi eventually picks out Giroud in the box, but the Frenchman has his back to goal and cannot pick out Sanchez with a chipped pass over the defence.
19: Assured start from Maitland-Niles at left-back for Arsenal. The defender has been an ever-present in the Europa League this season, and, like Wilshere and Giroud, Wenger has shown faith in the youngster by starting him this evening.
17: That chance for West Ham has lifted the home fans. Arnautovic of course the hero for the Hammers on Saturday, and he very nearly had a second goal in as many games. Arsenal saved by the flag.
15: OFFSIDE! Arnautovic heads the ball into the back of the net... but he has just strayed offside! The cross was delayed by just a fraction and that's probably what caused him to drift off by half a yard or so.
WEST HAM 0-0 ARSENAL
12: Solid enough start from this man's side, but they're yet to carve out a real opportunity.
10: Could be a long old evening for West Ham if it continues like this. They had just 33% possession so far.
SAVE! Adrian called into action for the first time, but it's a simple stop as he gets down to keep out Sanchez's tame effort.
8: Another cross for Arsenal. A sign of things to come this evening with Giroud up front? This time it's from Maitland-Niles but it's inches above the leaping Frenchman.
6: West Ham look content to sit back for now and try to hit Arsenal on the counter. A half-opportunity opens up for the Hammers but Antonio is flagged for offside when he appeared to be through on goal.
