Jakub Sokolik is unlikely to be risked by Yeovil boss Paul Sturrock when Coventry visit Huish Park in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
The defender came off injured during the goalless draw at Portsmouth on Saturday and is expected to be rested in the hope that he recovers in time for the league game against Dagenham next weekend.
Sturrock is expected to make some changes for the second round tie, seeing Tuesday night as the perfect opportunity to reintroduce some of the other injured players back into the first team.
The likes of Marc Laird, Alex Lacey, Omar Sowunmi, Ryan Dickson, Jack Compton and Jordan Gibbons have all been missing from squads recently but could be involved against the Sky Blues.
Coventry have three players unavailable due to international call-ups.
Ryan Kent and Bryn Morris are away with the England Under-20 squad while Adam Armstrong has linked up with the England Under-19 group. All three players will also miss the league game at Fleetwood on Saturday.
Sky Blues boss Tony Mowbray remains without James Maddison and Jordan Willis and also has other players nursing knocks and niggles.
"We have two or three we have to patch up, injections to play and they might be the ones we give a breather to. But players play with injuries all the time," said Mowbray at his pre-match press conference on Monday.
