Alex Pritchard is heading to Norwich City for a medical after the Canaries made a move for the Tottenham midfielder, according to Sky sources.
Pritchard appeared to be on the brink of an £8m transfer to Brighton on Tuesday after the Seagulls' bid was accepted by Spurs.
The 23-year-old had also agreed personal terms with Brighton and was due to begin a medical late on Tuesday night, but their hopes of signing the England U21 international appear to have been scuppered by an approach from Norwich, who were relegated from the Premier League last season.
Pritchard spent the end of the 2015/16 campaign on loan at West Brom, making just two appearances.
He almost joined Burnley in the winter transfer window after recovering from an injury, with the Clarets believed to be another club who have expressed an interest in signing him.
Norwich and Brighton also face competition from a number of Championship clubs including Queens Park Rangers, who held talks over the 23-year-old last week.
Meanwhile, Ross McCormack has travelled to the Midlands to undergo a medical ahead of his proposed £12m move to Aston Villa. Norwich have made attempts to sign the former Leeds forward this summer, offering in excess of £10m for the player.
