Gibraltar made history by winning their first competitive game after defeating Armenia in the Nations League

Played 22, lost 22. Scored five, conceded 107...

That was Gibraltar's record in competitive fixtures going into Saturday's Nations League match against Armenia - but it turned into an historic night at the Hanrapetakan Stadium.

Armenia, captained by Henrikh Mkhitaryan, had 35 shots in total, 10 on target, and 77.7 per cent possession overall, but they ultimately succumbed to a 50th-minute penalty from Joseph Chipolina - a name to remember for pub quizzes of the future.

After some quality saves from Gibraltar's rock, goalkeeper Kyle Goldwin, there were scenes of jubilation at the full-time whistle, while Goldwin was overcome with emotion. What a night for Gibraltar!
