Martin Tyler, Murray Walker, Bill McLaren. These are the voices that have brought sport to life. Richard Buckley and Brandon Smith are looking to join these commentators and replicate their success in FIFA.
The pair first met at Manchester two years ago, where they are studying multi-media sports journalism at UCFB.
Brandon, who was commentating on an online pro-league, needed a partner and approached Richard to join him as his co-host. The duo went on to win the EA Commentators Cup and recently worked throughout the Gfinity Elite Series FIFA tournament.
Despite having been involved in the industry for less than a year, Richard and Brandon have their sights set on becoming the voices of FIFA.
Brandon said: "We want to be the Martin Tyler and Gary Neville of FIFA. We want to, one day, become the face and voice of the sport.
"I'm not just saying this but I reckon we could even be on the game. Why not? There could easily be a commentary angle where you can change in your settings. I'm not trying to say we're big time or anything but the way eSports is going, why not?"
His co-host added: "Being in the game would be something quite remarkable but if it happens it'd just show the growth of the eSports scene in general. EA has only been pushing FIFA as an eSport for 18 months now and we've already seen the prize money go from £20,000 to £200,000.
"We've only been involved for such a short amount of time as well but we're already seeing the benefits and opportunities FIFA and eSports gives us and there is no reason why we couldn't get better, bigger and, like Brandon said, be the face of FIFA."
Richard, who is from Barnsley, has just recently turned 20 whilst Brandon is only 21-years-old but the pair already have an impressive resume under their belts. They both accredit their successes to having the ability to put yourself out there and ignoring unconstructive negativity.
Brandon said: "At the end of the day, you might look like an idiot sometimes when you put yourself out there but that is okay. I'm sure people have laughed at me in the past but now I am getting to travel around the world and do my dream job.
"Nobody in life knows what they want to do so it is important to try stuff. For me, I was even looking to go into football commentary at one point but I thought without the Youtube subscribers or the Twitter followers it'd never be possible.
"I took a risk with FIFA and it just paid off."
Richard added: "For me, don't take the negative feedback because that is something you will get. When you do somewhat make it, there will always be people who will try and shoot you down. They'd tell you eSports isn't a 'real' sport and what you do isn't valid.
"But you've just got to brush those people away. They're probably just jealous of what you're doing."
Having already commentated on tournaments all over the world such as Los Angeles, Qatar, Munich and more, there is no doubt that it'll only be a matter of time before Richard and Brandon become household names that will be remembered for bringing competitive FIFA to life.
