The final round of the Anglo-Welsh Cup pool stages continued as Gloucester, Worcester and Newcastle all secured wins.

Gloucester completed their campaign in the competition for another season with a comfortable 24-13 victory over Newport Gwent Dragons at Kingsholm.

Tries by prop Cameron Orr, centre Henry Trinder and replacement scrum-half Ben Vellacott enabled the home side to come from behind and take the points in this dead rubber, with fly-half Lloyd Evans adding nine points from three conversions and a penalty.

Matthew Screech crossed the whitewash twice for the Welsh region, who fell to their third defeat in four games.

Worcester signed off in style with a 53-38 win over Cardiff Blues at the Arms Park to record their first away win since March 2016.

Josh Adams and Wynand Olivier scored two apiece for Worcester and there was one each for Val Rapava-Ruskin, Francois Hougaard, Sam Lewis, Bryce Heem, with Ryan Mills converting five and added a penalty.

The West Country side seemed to have the match won after second-half tries from Jack Wilson and Will Homer edged them 15-9 ahead with seven minutes remaining against the 14-man Falcons.

But then Newcastle winger Kibirige wriggled free on the touchline just inside halfway and raced away to score under the posts, Craig Willis converting.
