Warriors hand duo new deals

Prop Tony Windo and lock Phil Murphy have signed new contracts with the Warriors.

Worcester have handed new contracts to prop Tony Windo and lock Phil Murphy.

Veteran Windo has agreed a one-year extension that will keep him with the Guinness Premiership outfit until June 2007.

The 36-year-old has been with the club since 1999 and helped them gain promotion to the top tier of the English game in 2004.

Murphy has signed a two-year deal that will see him remain a Warrior until the end of the 2007/08 campaign.

Director of rugby John Brain is delighted that the pair are staying on after becoming pivotal players in the first team.

"We're very pleased to have secured the future of these two important players." he said on the club's website.

"Tony Windo may be one of the oldest players in the Premiership but he has re-established himself as one of the leading props in the league.

"Phil has developed well this season, established himself in the starting line up and I'm sure he'll continue to develop well."
