Two goals from Carlos Bacca helped AC Milan recover from their derby defeat to Inter with a 3-2 Serie A victory over Palermo at San Siro.

The Colombian, signed from Sevilla in the summer, flicked home an early opener before Oscar Hiljemark equalised with a header.

Giacomo Bonaventura's free-kick restored the Rossoneri lead before half-time, but Bacca was needed once again after Hiljemark converted his own brace midway through the second half.

Luiz Adriano caused some early chaos in the Palermo box before, in the 21st minute, Bacca opened the scoring.

The 29-year-old streaked across the box to connect with Bonaventura's lay-off, clipping the ball into the roof of the net to finish off a great team move.

Palermo levelled in the 32nd minute, however, a ghastly error from goalkeeper Diego Lopez allowing Hiljemark to twist his body and head home.

Bonaventura was handed an opportunity to restore the hosts' lead before the break, when Ivaylo Chochev fouled him 25 yards from goal.

The former Atalanta midfielder dusted himself down before rifling his free-kick into the spot where Stefano Sorrentino could not get a glove to it.

A sluggish start to the second half was forgotten thanks to an exchange of goals between Hiljemark and Bacca, the pair rubber-stamping their doubles within minutes of each other.

The Swede carried Alberto Gilardino's pass into the box before beating Lopez in the 72nd minute, yet Bacca would quickly upstage him by racing on to a Juraj Kucka cross to head beyond an immobile Sorrentino.
