Sky Live: Burton v Birmingham: Injury worries for Clough

    Burton v Birmingham

Burton boss Nigel Clough has a handful of injury concerns for Friday night's home game against Birmingham.

The Brewers picked up injuries as they lost at Ipswich in midweek, with Jackson Irvine, John Brayford and Jamie Ward among the walking wounded.

"We got a few knocks at Ipswich. Jackson got a dead leg, Brayford has been struggling and Jamie Ward felt something. It will be touch and go with a few," Clough told the club's official website.

Defender Shaun Barker is still waiting to start his first game for Burton since signing for the club at the end of August but Clough insists the 34-year-old, who has only recently returned to action after more than four years out with a serious knee injury, is ready should he be called upon.

Birmingham boss Gary Rowett is ready to rotate his squad for the trip to his former club.

Tomasz Kuszczak, Rhoys Wiggins, Paul Robinson and Greg Stewart could all come into Rowett's thinking as he bids to negotiate the final leg of three matches in seven days.
