Charlton v Fleetwood preview
Thursday 23 August 2018 20:36, UK
Igor Vetokele has returned to contention for Charlton as they prepare to host Fleetwood.
The striker has participated in full training following his recovery from an ankle injury, and his potential availability comes amid the absence of several senior team-mates.
Ben Reeves, Jason Pearce and Tariqe Fosu will return to training from Monday, but are still unavailable owing to respective Achilles, hamstring and knee injuries. Billy Clarke and Jake Forster-Caskey remain long-term absentees.
Fleetwood are expected to retain much of the team that won 5-0 at Scunthorpe on Wednesday. Ched Evans had been a doubt but scored twice before coming off shortly after the hour mark, to be rested, and is expected to start again.
James Husband is also likely to remain in the starting XI having played the full 90 minutes following his recent arrival. Cian Bolger and Kyle Dempsey both missed out on Wednesday, because of minor injuries, and they remain doubtful.
