GRIEZMANN OPENED THE SCORING

MARSEILLE 0-3 ATLETICO MADRID
FT: There goes the full-time whistle, Atletico Madrid have won the Europa League for the third time in nine years! Marseille started brightly and Germain missed a glorious chance in the fourth minute but once Atletico took the lead, there was only going to be one winner. Griezmann scored twice and Gabi wrapped it up late on.
90: A nice moment now as Fernando Torres is brought on to replace Griezmann. The striker has never won a trophy for his boyhood club, that will change in a couple of minutes time.
GOAL! MARSEILLE 0-3 ATLETICO (Gabi 89)
That puts it beyond doubt. A lovely, flowing move srtas with Griezmann freeing Costa down the left and ends with the ball being squared for Gabi, who has all the time in the world to pick his spot and fire the ball into the bottom corner. Just the captain's second goal in 81 European appearances for Atleti.
MARSEILLE 0-2 ATLETICO MADRID
86: Marseille getting themselves into trouble at the back as Sarr and then Rami are caught in possession just outside their own penalty area. Aletico can't make them pay on this occasion.
87: Oh dear. At the other end of the pitch, a cross from the left is deflected into the path of N'Jie but the former Spurs forward makes a complete mess of his shot. He tried to stab the ball goalwards with his right foot rather than take it on his left and the ball balloons out for a throw in.
83: Marseille have been buoyed by that Mitroglu effort and get forward again. Sarr's low cross is easily cut out but Sanson whips in another that is headed out and Amavi strides onto it and hits the shot sweetly. It is straight at Oblak though, who clutches it to his chest after taking it cleanly despite the bounce just in front of him.
81: OFF THE POST! So nearly a lifeline for Marseille! The cross was swung in from the right, a good ball with pace and Mitroglu meets it with a superb flicked header. Oblak is beaten but the ball comes back off the inside of the post. Mitroglu can't believe that hasn't found the back of the net.
77: Clinton N'Jie and Lucas Hernandez are booked after a little scuffle. N'Jie is perhaps fortune that that is all it is, he kicked out at the Atletico full-back but the referee decides a booking will suffice.
75: Gustavo blocks off Gabi, not very subtle but he is still keen to protest his innocence as the referee brandishes a yellow card.
74: After that brief spell for Marseille, Atletico are back in the ascendancy. A final Marseille change sees Kostas Mitroglu replace Valere Germain, who must be ruing that early chance to put his side in front.
70: After a lengthy delay, the free-kick is taken by Griezmann, Saul is the man at the near post but misses his header and the ball comes of Gustavo and behind for a corner.
71: The first corner is cleared behind for another, this one on the right. Griezmann takes, Thauvin gets it clear but back come Atletico. Griezmann gets to the byline and hangs up a cross but Marseille do just enough to clear their lines.

68: Free-kick to Atletico on the left after a rather agricultural challenge from Gustavo on Griezmann. Somehow the defender escapes without a booking.
67: A better spell for Marseille and after Godin win the header from Lopez's cross, the ball comes for Sanson. He slips as he shoots though and his effort goes harmlessly over the top.
65: It is not always pretty from Atletico but you sense that the more untidy this game gets, the bigger their advantage. They are quicker to every second ball. Marseille have won a corner though after miscommunication between Juanfran and Oblak.
66: The corner is played short and then the cross is swung in by Amavi, N'Jie connects nicely with a volley as the ball drops to him but Griezmann is there to block.
62: Thauvin turns nicely on the edge of the Atletico box but Hernandez is there is steal the ball from him and Saul is then pulled back as he looks the break.
60: Atletico win a corner and they are in complete control of this match. An offside flag gives Marseille a brief moment of respite but the belief is draining from them with every passing second. It'll take something special for them to come back from here.
58: Everything appears to be that much harder for Marseille since the start of this second half. Atletico are pressing them superbly, giving them no time on the ball and errors are coming thick and fast.
55: Marseille make another change, Lucas Ocampos coming off to be replaced by Clinton N'Jie. The winger isn't too happy to come off and you can understand why, he was the French side's most threatening player in the first half.
51: Nearly a third for Atletico as Adil Rami slices his clearance narrowly wide of his own goal. Atletico sense blood here.
52: Close again, Griezmann's shot was deflected wide and from the resulting corner, Diego Godin powers a header goalwards. It's just too high and brushes the top of the netting as it goes over.
GOAL! MARSEILLE 0-2 ATLETICO (Griezmann 49)
Brilliant finish from Antoine Griezmann, cool as you like to double Atletico's lead. The Spanish side won a pair of headers in the middle of the park, the ball broke for Koke and he slipped in Griezmann down the right channel, his first touch took him in on goal and he dinked the ball expertly over Mandanda.
MARSEILLE 0-1 ATLETICO MADRID
48: Atletico Madrid with the first move of note in the second half. Costa feeds the ball to Correa, who rolls Rami with ease but then decices against the early shot on his left foot and is then dispossessed by a solid Sarr challenge.
47: The rain is hammering down now in Lyon, which has certainly been known to liven things up. Not that this game needs that particularly after an entertaining first half.
46: Atletico get the second half underway and they have made a change, Juanfran replacing Vrsajko, who was booked in the first half, at right back.

HT: The half-time whistle goes and Atletico lead. They were second best for the first 20 minutes, Germain missing a big chance to put Marseille in front but one mistake from the French side was all it took, Griezmann pounced to put Atletico in front. It has been hard work for Marseille since then, not least because they have lost their talismanic captain Dimitri Payet to injury.
44: Griezmann finds space in the left-hand channel and tries to slip the ball between the centre-back and the full-back with Diego Costa making the dart from out wide. Sarr is alert to it and steps across from right-back to intercept.
41: Another moment of slight concern for Marseille as Correa chases down a long ball forward and Luiz Gustavo, wearing the captain's armband after Payet's withdrawal, rather unconvincingly wins a goal kick by scuffing the ball against the Atletico attacker.
38: A couple of hefty challenges in a many of seconds on Vrsaljko down the Atletico right. The second of which gvies the Spanish side a free-kick in line with the six-yard box and earns Jordan Amavi a booking.
39: Koke delivers and Godin is free about 15 yards out but it is slightly too high for him and the header sails over the bar.
35: Whistles and boos from the Marseille fans as Morgan Sanson is adjudged to have fouled Gabi. The Marseille midfielder was looking to break and, at most, put his hand on the Atleti player's shoulder as he went past him. The free-kick comes to nothing in any case.
32: Terrible news for Marseille. Dimitri Payet goes down holding his hamstring and will have to come off, it certainly explains why he was slow to the ball a couple of minutes ago. The former West Ham man is in tears as he leaves the pitch, Maxime Lopez replaces him.
30: Gabi nips in to beat Payet to the ball, the Marseille playmaker was slightly on his heels. Marseille regain possession but Ocampos, after skipping past one challenge, is suddenly surrounded by four red and white shirts and is hounded off the ball.
29: Sarr is all over the back of Koke and concedes a free-kick 10 yards inside the Atletico half.
27: Sarr powers forward down the right before slipping the ball outside to Thauvin. His right-foot cross is too close to Oblak and the Atletico 'keeper claims it, easy as you like.
24: Marseille look to hit back straight away and win a free-kick on the left. Ocampos blocked off by Vrsaljko, who receives the first yellow card of the game.
25: Payet takes the free-kick, Atletico can't clear it properly and Ocampos tries a looping header form 15 yards out that just clears the bar. Oblak seemed to have it covered in any case.
GOAL! MARSEILLE 0-1 ATLETICO (Griezmann 21)
Out of nowhere, Atletico lead! Mandanda plays the ball out to Anguissa and the midfielder's touch was, frankly, awful. The ball bounced up off his shin, hit Gabi and ran kindly for Antoine Griezmann. The Frenchman was suddenly one-on-one with Mandanda, waited for the keeper to go down and slotted it past him.
MARSEILLE 0-0 ATLETICO MADRID
20: Fabian Thauvin cuts in from the right and crosses towards the back post where Ocampos and Germain are waiting. There is just too much on it though and Oblak is able to come out and claim it.
19: The ball drops to Payet 25 yards out and he takes the shot on first time. It is rushed though and the contact is a poor one, easy for Oblak to deal with.
16: Atletico on the attack after good work from Griezmann, slipping the ball into the path of Koke. However, the move is snuffed out by Anguissa, who shows all his strength to ease the Spaniard off the ball.

13: Free-kick to Atletico in a dangerous position wide on the right. Koke and Correa over the ball.
14: Koke delivers but it is headed clear, Atletico win the loose ball and win a throw in deep in Marseille's half. It's another long one, cleared to the edge of the area where Koke tries an acrobatic volley. Well wide.
11: Atletico are pressing well from the front, putting the pressure on Marseille's defenders when they're in possession. The French side have not been discouraged from playing out though and work through the press, get the ball forward and after good feet from Lucas Ocampos, the ball is shifted to Bouna Sarr but the full-back's shot from 20 yards is well wide.
9: Less than nine minutes in and the referee has his first 'little chat' of the evening with Diego Costa. The Atletico striker glanced at Rami before jumping into the Marseille centre-back as they jumped for a header. Just a word on this occasion.
8: Now Atletico get the ball down and threaten. No surprise that Griezmann is at the centre of it, driving through the middle but Marseille regain possession before Correa fouls Amavi to stop the Marseille counter.
6: A good start for Marseille continues as they win a free-kick wide on the right. Payet delivers and it is only partially cleared, the ball drops for Adil Rami on the edge of the box but his snapshot is just wide.
4: CHANCE! What a chance for Marseille. For the first time in the game they string together a few passes and counter-attack superbly on Atletico. Payet is heavily involved and the move ends with him slipping the ball through for Germain, the striker's first touch set it up perfectly but the finish was wayward. High and wide with just Oblak to beat. A let off for Atletico.
