Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo's debut gaffe was the most tweeted about moment of the season so far, generating 33,000 posts per minute.
The Premier League campaign may only be in its infancy but Saturday's Manchester derby had social media alight with activity as Pep Guardiola's men triumphed 2-1 at Manchester United.
Kevin De Bruyne opened the scoring and then hit the post, from which Kelechi Iheanacho tapped home from close range - a moment that led to 24,500 tweets per minute.
However, that paled into insignificance compared to Bravo flapping at Wayne Rooney's free-kick, allowing Zlatan Ibrahimovic to thunder home.
That moment led to 33,000 posts per minute - the most tweeted moment of the season so far, 8,000 higher than the second-most spoken about incident.
In all, the derby was posted about 1.7m times on Twitter, with Paul Pogba the most-mentioned individual.
The result ensured City continued their 100 per cent start to the season under Guardiola and left them top of the table while United suffered their first defeat under Jose Mourinho.
