Hull's Robert Snodgrass awaiting results of scan on ankle injury

Hull City boss Mike Phelan fears Scotland winger Robert Snodgrass could be the latest addition to his lengthy injury list.
Snodgrass was hurt during the Tigers' 2-0 home defeat by Stoke City on Saturday, leaving the KCOM Stadium on crutches, and Phelan is anxiously awaiting news of a scan.
He would appear highly unlikely to be available for their EFL Cup fourth round clash with Bristol City at Ashton Gate on Tuesday, joining recent injury victims Andrew Robertson (calf) and Dieumerci Mbokani (hamstring) on the sidelines.
"We have lost players to injury and might have lost another one," Phelan said.
"But we have to look at (Tuesday night) to gain some confidence, some rhythm to take into the league.
"We have a couple of promising young kids we will have a look at. Injuries are part of the game."
Defender Josh Tymon, 17, was on the bench for Saturday's Premier League match and could make his second EFL Cup appearance of the season after playing in the win over Exeter City earlier in the competition.
There was some good news for Phelan from the Stoke defeat, with skipper Michael Dawson playing his first game of the season after a knee injury and making it through unscathed.
"It was important he didn't come into a game where he felt he was playing catch-up," Phelan added. "Now he feels capable of playing for 90 minutes."
Phelan added Neil McDonald to his backroom staff on Monday, with the former Blackpool manager taking over as his assistant head coach.
And there could be "two or three" more additions soon, with Phelan saying: "If we can get those done, the sooner the better. Hopefully we will have a few people in by the end of the week."
