Charlton close to appointing Karl Robinson as manager

Charlton are closing in on the appointment of Karl Robinson as their new manager, according to Sky sources.
Earlier this month, the League One club sacked Russell Slade after six months in the job. That came just days after MK Dons parted company with Robinson after six years at Stadium MK.
Robinson was at the Memorial Stadium on Tuesday night to watch Charlton thrash Bristol Rovers 5-1 and is expected to agree terms on Wednesday.
That win - Charlton's third in their past four league games - moved the club up to 11th in the Sky Bet League One table.
Addicks fans will hope the appointment of Robinson can help stabilise Charlton after a turbulent season which has seen continued protests against owner Roland Duchatelet's running of the club.
Slade became the sixth manager to leave Charlton since Chris Powell departed in March 2014 when he was sacked earlier this month, although Jose Riga had two spells as boss.
