Sean Dyche believes Burnley will always struggle to match the financial clout of most Premier League clubs, and says even Bournemouth operate on a higher level.
The two teams come face-to-face at Turf Moor on Saturday, and Dyche accepts the south coast club has much greater financial muscle than the Clarets.
The Cherries, under Russian owner Maxim Demin, spent around £40m during the summer, a figure Burnley didn't come close to matching.
The Lancastrian club broke their transfer record twice in pre-season, bringing in Steven Defour for £7.5m while paying £10.5m to Derby for Jeff Hendrick.
"Money is a big challenge for us," Dyche said "We've put some into it, but it's a different club, we haven't got their backer who seemingly keeps writing the cheques.
"They've spent a lot over the last two seasons. That can't be held against them, it's just a fact. It's who you buy and what level of the market.
"It is £15m for Jordon Ibe, around £11m for Benik Afobe, and those numbers are out of our range. They're figures we can't get to and all the wages that go with that of course.
"We are what we are and we don't really overthink what everyone else is doing."

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe, a former manager of Burnley, makes his second return to the club and Dyche believes both clubs are looking forward rather than to the past.
"I think they've moved on and I think we've moved on," Dyche added. "Both clubs have done well and if there ever is a good parting of the ways I think it's probably that. He's done well there. I've come in and done well here."
