With the transfer window reaching a crescendo, rumours of last-minute deals are popping up all across Europe.

Our friends at Football Whispers are on hand with a review of the hottest transfer news and rumours from around the Continent this morning.

Here's some of the lines in the media in Spain, Italy, Germany and elsewhere on Friday...

ITALY

Inter Milan will attempt to sign Antoine Griezmann this summer and are willing to pay up to €110m (£93.6m) for the Frenchman, but only if they miss out on their first-choice target… Lionel Messi. (PremiumSport). With a score of 3.2 out of five, the Football Whispers Index currently rates Manchester United as the favourites to sign Griezmann should he decide to leave Atletico Madrid.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has identified Genoa goalkeeper Mattia Perrin as a potential summer target. The 24-year-old Italian international was recently ruled out for several months with a knee injury - for the second time in the space of a year - so the Blues may want to see how he recovers before making a bid. (Calcio Mercato).

Gazzetta dello Sport have picked up on The Sun's claims that Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian could be on the move to one of the Milan clubs after reportedly beginning to hunt for a luxury apartment in the city.

(Marca via TyC Sport)

And Barcelona-based newspaper Mundo Deportivo took pleasure in pointing out that Cristiano Ronaldo is currently enduring his least productive spell as a Real Madrid player, with his strike rate dipping below a goal a game for the first time since his 2009 move to the Spanish capital.

FRANCE

Crystal Palace are considering making a move for former Manchester United winger Gabriel Obertan. The Eagles will not be constricted by the transfer window in their attempts to sign the 27-year-old as he is a free agent after being released by Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala. (France Football)

L'Equipe question whether the arrival of Memphis Depay could upset the fragile harmony within the Lyon dressing room.

GERMANY

Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has defended his club's decision to re-sign Mario Gotze from Bayern Munich and insisted that the player will come good, despite an indifferent start to life back at Signal Iduna Park. Bayer Leverkusen will complete the signing of Jamaican winger Leon Bailey - formerly linked with Manchester United and Hull City - from Genk this weekend. (Kicker)

PORTUGAL

Alvaro Morata wants to leave Real Madrid in the summer. The former Juventus striker is unhappy at the amount of game time he has been given by Zinedine Zidane this season.
