Reading boss Jaap Stam has been named the Sky Bet Championship's Manager of the Month for January.

The Dutchman led the Royals to four wins from their six matches during the month as they continued their push towards promotion.

Reading, who claimed victories over Bristol City, Fulham, Cardiff City and Birmingham City, sit third in the Championship, just five points off the automatic promotion spots.

Leeds United forward Chris Wood picked up the Championship Player of the Month award after continuing his fine goal scoring form into 2017.

Wood netted six times in January to take his tally for the season to 21 goals in all competitions, helping Leeds consolidate their position in the play-off positions.

Garry Monk's men sit in fifth spot and have a seven-point cushion between themselves and seventh-placed Norwich City.

Uwe Rosler has secured the League One Manager of the Month award after Fleetwood continued their remarkable unbeaten run into the New Year.

Fleetwood last tasted defeat in the league on November 12 and have since embarked upon a 13-game unbeaten run, which included a 2-0 win over leaders Sheffield United last month.

It is a run that has catapulted Fleetwood into promotion contention, with the Cod Army in fourth place and just seven points off the automatic promotion spots.

Bury forward James Vaughan has been named the League One Player of the Month.

The former Everton man, who joined Bury from Birmingham on a free transfer last summer, enjoyed a superb month in front of goal, netting seven times including a four-goal haul in a 5-1 victory over Peterborough United.

Darren Ferguson has won the League Two Manager of the Month after leading Doncaster to a perfect January.

Doncaster started January in third, but ended the month seven points clear at the top following wins over Stevenage, Portsmouth, Barnet, Crewe Alexandra and Yeovil Town.

Exeter City forward Ollie Watkins has claimed the League Two Player of the Month.

Watkins scored twice - including a superb effort at Grimsby - in January and set up five, with a hat-trick of assists coming against Colchester.
