There is certain to be a tug-of-war for Atletico left-back Theo Hernandez this summer. The 19-year-old Frenchman, who is on loan at Alaves, is subject of an offer from Real as well as being a Liverpool transfer target.

However, Barcelona have now entered the equation by equalling Real's €24m offer and meeting the defender's release clause. The two Madrid clubs have a pact whereby neither signs the other's players, however, that has been tested by Hernandez. (AS)

Bayern Munich coach Carlo Ancelotti will be re-united with former Paris Saint-Germain keeper Salvatore Sirigu this summer with the Italian joining the Bavarian giants as Manuel Neuer's deputy.

Ancelotti, who managed PSG from 2011 to 2013, is on the lookout for an understudy to Germany's No 1 and World Cup winner Neuer. Sirigu, 30, who is on loan from PSG at Osasuna, would fit that bill. The 6ft 4in stopper has been replaced by Kevin Trapp at the Parc de Princes and spent the first half of the season on loan at Sevilla. (Kicker)
