Inter Milan want one of Diego Simeone or Antonio Conte as their new manager and are prepared to offer the coaches as much as £10m-per-year to make it happen. Lazio manager Simone Inzaghi is a potential summer target for West Ham United as they consider incumbent boss Slaven Bilic's future. The younger Inzaghi sibling is impressing in Rome and has taken Lazio to the Coppa Italia final as well as fifth place in Serie A. (Corriere dello Sport)

Germany

Real Madrid ended Bayern Munich's Champions League dreams in the quarter-finals with a little help from the officials at the Santiago Bernabeu. Hungarian referee Viktor Kassai failed to send off Los Blancos' midfielder Casemiro after a late tackle on Arjen Robben despite already being booked. He further antagonised the away side by showing a second yellow card to Arturo Vidal even though replays show he clearly won the ball.

Zinedine Zidane's men were also the benefactors of some questionable offside decisions with Robert Lewandowski being flagged offside when he was on, before Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice from an offside position.

RB Leipzig manager Ralf Rangnick is set to be rewarded for the club's sensational first season in the Bundesliga with a new long-term contract. Leipzig are currently second in the league, eight points behind giants Bayern, but eight points clear of Borussia Dortmund. Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first player in history to score a century of goals in the Champions League proper following on from his hat-trick against Bayern Munich. He scored five of his side's six goals to ensure safe passage through to the semi-finals as Real Madrid look to become the first team to defend their crown.
