Soccer Saturday's Jeff Stelling refused to read contents of a script which brought back painful memories of his beloved Hartlepool's relegation from Sky Bet League Two.
The life-long Pools fan was handed a script with news of the LG's Performance of the Week award, which went to Newport after a vital 2-1 win against Notts County last weekend secured their survival in the Football League while sending Hartlepool down in the process.
Jeff started to read the script which began: "Away from the Premier League to the latest LG..." before stopping abruptly and refusing to continue when he realised the news he was about to deliver.
He exclaimed: "Well, I'm not reading this! You can read that. Seriously, you can't expect me to read that," before handing the paper to pundit Matt Le Tissier, who took over presenting duties to deliver the story!
