Stoke City winger Marko Arnautovic handed in a transfer request on Monday afternoon, according to Sky sources.

The Austria international has grown increasingly frustrated with what he sees as a lack of ambition at the bet365 Stadium, and wants to be able to move on this summer.

In recent weeks, he has been linked with £15m moves to AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain and West Ham.

Last summer Everton were one of a number of clubs interested in the 28-year old, who joined Stoke from Werder Bremen four years ago, for the bargain fee of £2m.

Stoke boss Mark Hughes has done everything to keep hold of 'Arnie', who signed a lucrative new four-year-deal last summer, keeping him at Stoke until 2020.

The winger is with the Stoke squad on pre-season tour in Switzerland.
