Burnley are interested in signing Argentinian midfielder Gonzalo Escalante from Spanish club Eibar, according to Sky sources.
The Basque side finished 10th in La Liga last season with the 24-year old playing a key role in central midfield.
Sky Sources in Spain say Sean Dyche's scouting team have been monitoring Escalante for the past year.
A deal for the playmaker is likely to be worth around £6m.
Burnley have already signed Jack Cork from Swansea, Jonathan Walters from Stoke City, Charlie Taylor from Leeds United and Rouwen Hennings from German side Dusseldorf so far this summer.
The Clarets begin their Premier League campaign against champions Chelsea on August 12.
