Friendlies round-up: John Terry features as Walsall hold Aston Villa to draw

John Terry played 68 minutes as Aston Villa were held to a goalless draw by Walsall on Tuesday night.

The former Chelsea defender captained Villa as they continued their pre-season preparations, starting in defence alongside trialist Chris Samba.

Steve Bruce's side went closest to breaking the deadlock at the Banks's Stadium when Terry's headed goal was disallowed for a foul by Samba in the build-up.
