Who represents the better value... Romelu Lukaku or Alvaro Morata?

Approaching the halfway point of the summer transfer window, around £1bn has already been spent so far by Premier League clubs.

Could this summer see Premier League clubs break the current record of £1.615bn from last summer's window?

Romelu Lukaku's £90m move to Manchester United remains the most expensive transfer this summer across all leagues, however with the recent speculation surrounding Monaco's Kylian Mbappe and Barcelona star Neymar it seems this won't stand for long.

Everton have been the busiest club so far, signing 11 players as a part of Ronald Koeman's project to form his own squad. Meanwhile, Manchester City have splashed out the most money with a total of £203.8m spent.

However, business is far from being wrapped up yet; Jose Mourinho says he wants two more players, Alexis Sanchez's future is still undecided at Arsenal, and Tottenham are yet to make a signing.
