It was action-packed from the start, beginning with the world-record transfer of Paul Pogba to Manchester United from Juventus.
There was Bournemouth's remarkable 4-3 comeback win against Liverpool and Swansea's 5-4 see-saw victory at home to Crystal Palace.
A heavy away defeat to Arsenal sparked Chelsea's revival as their switch to a 3-4-3 formation helped them romp to the title.
But it was disappointment for Sunderland, Middlesbrough and Hull as they were relegated, while Claudio Ranieri got the sack at Leicester nine months after winning the league.
