European Paper Talk: Juventus plan Andres Iniesta offer

Andres Iniesta says he wants to finish his career at Barcelona

The transfer window is now shut across most of Europe but the rumour mill never stops.

Our friends at Football Whispers have scoured the European media for the latest news and transfer rumours.

Italy

Juventus are exploring the possibility of signing Andres Iniesta.

The Barcelona playmaker is out of contract next summer and Juve are looking into signing him in the same way they did with Andrea Pirlo, offering him a chance to prolong his career in Serie A. (Tuttosport)

AC Milan and Inter Milan are both planning a January window swoop for Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal.

Inter had been willing to pay €57m (£52m) for the Chilean this summer, but couldn't prise him from the Allianz Arena.

But with Vidal's contract set to expire in 2019, Bayern Munich could be more open to a deal in a few months' time. (Tuttosport)

France

It was a difficult transfer window for Barcelona and it ended in farce for the Catalans. Nice president Jean-Pierre Riviere has revealed a €40m (£36m) fee was agreed for Jean Michael Seri before Barca decided to pull the plug, with Josep Maria Bartomeu phoning to deliver the news himself.

"In the afternoon, Bartomeu called me, a little embarrassed, and said to me: 'This is the first time that it has happened to us," Riviere said. "Our staff have decided not to sign Seri, but it is not a financial issue'." (Marca)
