Swansea City defender Kyle Bartley has been ruled out until the end of November after undergoing surgery on his knee.
The 26-year-old centre-half was stretchered off during the Swans' 4-1 Carabao Cup win at MK Dons on August 22, after landing awkwardly as he contested a header.
The injury comes at a disappointing time for Bartley as he had recently broken back into the Swansea first-team line-up following a loan spell at Leeds United last season.
"We were disappointed to lose Kyle. He has now had surgery and we expect him to be out for around 12 weeks," said Swans boss Paul Clement.
"The period of 12 weeks is an estimate, and we will have to see how Kyle responds to his rehabilitation."
