Reported Liverpool target Julian Brandt scored a fine curling strike for Bayer Leverkusen as they came back from two goals down to beat Werder Bremen 4-2.
Leverkusen were 2-0 down just 10 minutes into their DFB-Pokal clash against Bremen on Wednesday night, but Brandt led an inspired comeback by scoring twice to make it 2-2.
The 21-year-old winger followed up his first goal in the 31st minute with a memorable strike 10 minutes after half-time.
From the edge of the box, Brandt took one touch before unleashing his pin-point effort into the top corner past goalkeeper Jiri Pavlenka.
The tightly-contested match at the BayArena went to extra-time and finished 4-2 after Karim Bellarabi and Kai Havertz both scored to complete a dramatic victory for the hosts.
Leverkusen advance through to April's semi-finals and will find out their opponents when the draw is held on February 11.
