The January transfer window may only just have closed but Europe's biggest clubs are already plotting their summer moves with a World Cup to negotiate around.

Our friends at Football Whispers have scoured the European media to round-up the latest transfer news.

Germany

Borussia Dortmund are bracing themselves with Paris Saint-Germain interested in signing Julian Weigl. The Ligue 1 champions-elect are in need of a new controlling midfielder with Thiago Motta set to leave at the end of the season. Their top target is N'Golo Kante but reports suggest Chelsea are reluctant to let their man go. Weigl, a former Manchester United target, has been handpicked by PSG's sporting director Antero Henrique as the man to sign if Kante isn't attainable. (SportBild)

Jupp Heynckes doesn't want to stay on as manager at Bayern Munich, forcing the Bavarian club to restart their search for a permanent boss. Thomas Tuchel, formerly of Dortmund, is the man most likely to take over at the Allianz Arena. (Kicker)

Spain

Barcelona's corporate director Pancho Schroder has admitted he and the club are unsure whether Lionel Messi's release clause will be enough to ward off potential suitors. The Barca legend signed a new deal in November, tying himself to the Nou Camp until 2021, which included a €700m (£623m) release clause. (AS)

Lucas Hernandez has snubbed France and will represent Spain at international level. Barcelona are no longer interested in re-signing Hector Bellerin. The Arsenal full-back had been linked with a return to the Nou Camp but Nelson Semedo's impressive form since joining the La Liga club in the summer means the 22-year-old Spaniard is no longer a target. (Mundo Deportivo)

Barcelona could loan out January signing Yerry Mina. The Colombian centre-back isn't going to be a starter for Ernesto Valverde this season and if a club can guarantee him first-team football then a move wouldn't be blocked. Palmeiras, Cruzeiro, Flamengo and Gremio are all interested in the 23-year-old. (AS)

Barcelona will compete with rivals Real Madrid this summer to sign David Alaba. The Bayern Munich full-back was also believed to be a Manchester City transfer target last summer before they signed Benjamin Mendy. (Calciomercato)

Napoli are interested in signing Barca's Denis Suarez. Maurizio Sarri wants Denis to reinforce his squad for next season, with rumours Liverpool target Piotr Zielinski could be on the move. Aurelio De Laurentiis, the Napoli president, has been chasing the midfielder since 2016 when he described him as a "wonderkid". The arrival of Philippe Coutinho has pushed him further down the pecking order at the Nou Camp. (Calciomercato)

France

PSG want Antonio Conte as their next coach. The French club believe the Chelsea manager can be the man to guide them to success in the Champions League and are prepared to back him in the transfer market. A shortlist of transfer targets has been drawn up with Ryan Sessegnon, Alex Sandro, Kante and Donnarumma all included. (L'Equipe)

The agent of Udinese midfielder Jakub Jankto says the Czech Republic international "will definitely talk" to Arsenal when the window reopens. The 22-year-old has caught the eye in Serie A this season and was earlier linked with a move to AC Milan. (RMC Sport)
